Correcto, a Madrid-based startup that offers a SaaS platform for real-time language and spelling solutions and corrections for written Spanish through AI, announced today that it has secured €6.5 million in its second seed funding round.
The round was led by Octopus Ventures, Carya Venture Partners, and River Park Ventures, three venture capital firms that specialize in investing in early-stage technology companies.
Correcto was founded in 2023 by Carlos García and Ana Pérez, two former linguists and software engineers who wanted to create a tool that could help Spanish speakers improve their writing skills and avoid common errors.
Correcto provides users with an AI-powered writing assistant that can check spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style, as well as offer corrections, explanations, and suggestions to enhance the quality and clarity of the text. Correcto also analyzes the tone and sentiment of the text and provides feedback on how to adjust it according to the context and purpose of the communication.
The seed funding will be used to boost product development, expand internationally, and grow the team. With this new injection of capital, Correcto aims to optimize the AI models it uses and put Spanish on the AI map, as well as develop new products that focus on the written communication cycle.
