SYDNEY: Lode Resources Ltd. announced Tuesday that reconnaissance sampling at its newly acquired Silver Hills Project in Tasmania has returned exceptionally high-grade silver and antimony assays, marking a significant expansion of the company’s critical minerals portfolio.

The Silver Cliffs prospect, located near Waratah in Tasmania’s West Coast mining district, yielded samples with grades as high as 9,370 grams per ton of silver and 18.6 percent antimony. Some assays also showed lead values up to 81 percent and zinc up to 25 percent, underscoring the potential scale of the mineralized system. “The silver grades returned from the Silver Cliffs workings are exceptional — the highest recorded to date across any of Lode’s projects,” said Executive Director of Exploration Ted Leschke.

The exploration license EL6/2025 completely surrounds the historic Mt. Bischoff tin mine, positioning the project within one of Tasmania’s most significant mineralized systems. Historical workings at Silver Cliffs extend over 300 meters of strike, with multiple adits and waste dumps indicating continuity of mineralization.

Managing Director Keith Mayes said the discovery highlights the effectiveness of Lode’s exploration targeting. “Silver Hills is an exciting addition to Lode’s growing portfolio of high-grade projects in the area, and we have only just begun to evaluate the full potential of this highly prospective new asset,” he said.

The Silver Cliffs prospect becomes Lode’s third high-grade silver-antimony project in Tasmania, joining Montezuma and Fahlore. Drilling approvals have been submitted to Mineral Resources Tasmania, with inaugural drilling planned for 2026. The company has also expanded its Tasmanian exploration footprint to 250 square kilometers, consolidating a strategic landholding in a globally recognized mineral province.

Lode is concurrently advancing drilling programs at its Montezuma Silver & Antimony deposit in Tasmania and the Uralla Gold Project in New South Wales, providing multiple near-term catalysts for the company.
