Seagate, a leading manufacturer of storage solutions, has announced the launch of a new SSD that is designed for the mobile device market, especially for gaming handhelds and Surface devices. The SSD is called FireCuda 520N NVMe and it comes in a 2230-S2 M.2 form factor that fits in most portable devices.
The FireCuda 520N is a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD that offers high-performance and high-capacity storage for gamers and professionals on the go. It is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, with a read/write speed of up to 5,000 MB/s for the 2TB model and up to 4,800 MB/s for the 1TB model. Seagate claims that the FireCuda 520N delivers desktop-level performance on mobile devices, and it is also backward compatible with Gen3 and Gen2 PCIe slots.
The FireCuda 520N is compatible with various devices that support the M.2 format, such as the Steam Deck, Microsoft Surface devices, the ASUS ROG Ally, and the Lenovo Legion Go, among others. The FireCuda 520N is ideal for gamers who want to enjoy fast loading times, smooth gameplay, and large game libraries on their handheld devices.
The FireCuda 520N NVMe SSD is on sale now for $109.99 (1TB) and $189.99 (2TB). Seagate is known for its quality SSDs, such as the OneTouch and the FireCuda 530. The FireCuda 520N is expected to be another high-quality product from Seagate that meets the needs of mobile users.
