In just a few days, Microsoft is set to unveil some highly anticipated new additions to its Surface lineup. While the tech giant has been keeping the event’s details under wraps, leaks have provided eager fans with a sneak peek into what to expect. We’ve got the inside scoop on the Surface Laptop Studio 2 and the Surface Laptop Go 3, including their specs, images, and pricing.

It’s no surprise that hardware details tend to surface (pun intended) ahead of official announcements, thanks to partnerships and early access given to retailers. Thanks to these early leaks, we now have a comprehensive look at both the Surface Laptop Studio 2 and the Surface Laptop Go 3.

Surface Laptop Studio 2: Unleashing Intel Raptor Lake H Power

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is poised to be a powerhouse, running on Intel Raptor Lake H chips. Specifically, you can choose between the Core i7-13700H (clocking in at 5.3GHz) or the Core i7-13800H (boosting up to 5.5GHz). The device sports a stunning 14.4-inch display with a 2400×1600 resolution, boasting a 3:2 aspect ratio. Graphics enthusiasts will have two options: a model with a 6 GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or a beefier one with an 8 GB RTX 4060. However, there’s also a more basic variant available that ditches the Nvidia GPU in favor of the integrated Iris Xe GPU within the Intel SoC.

You’ll have your pick from three RAM configurations: 16 GB, 32 GB, and a whopping 64 GB. Storage options range from 512 GB, 1 TB to 2 TB SSDs, with the top-tier model even including a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Connectivity-wise, Microsoft has added a USB-A port to the existing Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C ports. Plus, with a 58Wh battery, you can expect up to 19 hours of uninterrupted usage.

As for pricing, the Intel Xe GPU version starts at €2,249 (approximately $2,400), while the RTX 4050 model with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD is expected to retail for €2,729 (around $2,900). If you’re eyeing the RTX 4060 model with 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD, you can anticipate a price tag of €3,199 (approximately $3,400). The maxed-out 64 GB variant is projected to reach €3,700 (around $3,950). Quite the range to cater to different preferences and budgets!

Surface Laptop Go 3: An Incremental Upgrade

In contrast to the Surface Laptop Studio 2, the Surface Laptop Go 3 sees fewer changes. It features an Intel Core i5-1235U SoC running at a respectable 4.4GHz. The base model offers 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD for a starting price of €899 (about $950).

Both the Surface Laptop Studio 2 and the Surface Laptop Go 3 are set to hit the market on October 3, giving you just enough time to clear your calendar and prepare for some exciting new Surface experiences. Stay tuned for the official announcement for any additional surprises Microsoft may have in store!
