OPPO, one of the leading smartphone makers in the world, has announced the global launch of its flagship foldable smartphone, the Find N3 Flip. The device features a stunning 8-inch OLED display that can fold in half, offering a versatile and immersive experience for users.
The Find N3 Flip is powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which delivers high performance and low power consumption.
One of the key features of the Find N3 Flip is the AI Virtual Proximity Sensor INNER BEAUTY, developed by Elliptic Labs, a pioneer in software-only sensors for smartphones.
The AI Virtual Proximity Sensor detects when a user holds their phone up to their ear during a call, and automatically turns off the screen and disables the touch functionality. This prevents accidental touches or hang-ups, and also saves battery life.
Unlike traditional hardware sensors, the AI Virtual Proximity Sensor does not require any physical components, reducing device cost and eliminating sourcing risk.
“OPPO choosing the AI Virtual Proximity Sensor INNER BEAUTY for their flagship foldable Find N3 Flip smartphone speaks to Elliptic Labs’ position as innovation leaders for the smartphone industry,” said Laila Danielsen, CEO of Elliptic Labs.
“Elliptic Labs continues to add market-leading smartphone makers as customers, like OPPO, the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world. With this ever-increasing market exposure, we strive to accomplish our mission as the best smartphone OEMs continually select Elliptic Labs to empower their devices to be greener, smarter, and more human-friendly.”
The Find N3 Flip is expected to be available in select markets soon, with a price tag of around $1,500. The device will compete with other foldable smartphones from Samsung, Huawei, and Motorola. OPPO hopes to attract customers who are looking for a premium and innovative smartphone that can adapt to different scenarios and needs.
