GlobalFoundries and Lockheed Martin Form Partnership on Semiconductor Supply for Defense Systems

In a major move aimed at bolstering national security, GlobalFoundries, a leading semiconductor manufacturing company, and Lockheed Martin, a renowned missile manufacturer, have announced a strategic collaboration to ensure a reliable domestic supply of semiconductors for defense systems.

The partnership, unveiled on Monday, aligns with the United States government’s CHIPS and Science Act, which aims to revitalize semiconductor production within the country.

Under this collaboration, GlobalFoundries and Lockheed Martin will work together to secure manufacturing capabilities for a wide range of advanced and next-generation chips.
