LONDON, UK: Atalaya Mining Plc (AIM: ATYM) has announced its intention to apply for a premium listing on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange plc, and to stop trading on the AIM market.
Atalaya is a leading European copper producer, which is a key metal for economic growth and the energy transition. Atalaya has a portfolio of growth projects in Spain and pays sustainable dividends to its shareholders. The Board of Directors of Atalaya believes that moving to the Main Market would increase the Company’s corporate profile and attract new institutional investors.

The move is subject to the approval of a prospectus by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) and the admission of the shares by the FCA to the premium listing segment of the Official List and by the London Stock Exchange to the Main Market. The move is expected to happen before the end of December 2023. Therefore, the Company gives notice of the intended cancellation of trading of its shares on AIM according to Rule 41 of the AIM Rules for Companies. The Company’s listing on AIM is expected to end before the end of December 2023.
Atalaya will update on the status of the move and the timeline in due course.
The move is not expected to need shareholder approval. Atalaya shareholders should seek professional advice regarding the tax implications of the move.
Peel Hunt LLP is the sponsor of the Company for the move.
Alberto Lavandeira, CEO of Atalaya, said: “We have built Atalaya into one of Europe’s top copper producers in the last eight years, achieving scale, growth and consistency. Copper is also seen as a strategic metal because of its role in the energy transition.
We are committed to growing further and our intention to move to the premium listing segment of the Official List shows our confidence in our future prospects, our growing investor base and our ambition to become a multi-asset producer with sustainable, scalable and low-risk operations.”
