Tim Hortons, the Canadian coffee shop brand, is launching a new franchise model in the UK to expand its presence across the country. The brand, which has 75 outlets in the UK since 2017, said the new model will allow franchisees to open both drive-thru and high street restaurants.
Tim Hortons is known for its coffee, donuts and Timbits, and has over 1,500 franchisees in Canada and other countries. Kevin Hydes, the chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons UK, said the brand has received an extraordinary reception in the UK and wants to take it to more local communities at pace.
He said the franchise model will be core to achieving this goal. Tim Hortons was founded in Canada in 1964 and now has more than 4,700 restaurants worldwide.
