LONDON, UK: Mobile Streams plc, a mobile content and data intelligence company listed on AIM, has announced an exclusive commercial partnership with Bitso, the leading financial services company powered by crypto in Latin America.
Bitso, founded in 2014, has achieved significant growth, boasting over seven million customers globally. The company provides institutional services to 1,500 business clients and has expanded its operations across Latin America. After successfully launching in Argentina in February 2020, Bitso expanded to Brazil in May 2021 and Colombia in 2022. The company’s recent valuation stands at an impressive $2.2 billion, with notable backers such as Tiger Global.
As part of the partnership, Mobile Streams (MOS) has signed a one-year exclusive agreement with Bitso focused on sporting non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Under the terms of the partnership, MOS will provide Bitso with the opportunity to promote its NFT products, including those licensed by the company, and collaborate on joint NFT collections. Bitso will have the ability to advertise MOS NFT products and jointly created collections across all its channels. The agreement does not incur any costs for MOS, and the company will pay Bitso a modest revenue share for any products sold.
NFTs are unique digital assets stored on a blockchain, enabling ownership and transferability. These digital collectibles have gained popularity, and MOS’s NFT products resemble one-of-a-kind trading cards related to sports. The partnership with Bitso provides MOS with a valuable sales channel, leveraging Bitso’s extensive market reach and technology expertise in the crypto space.
Mark Epstein, CEO of Mobile Streams plc, expressed his delight in announcing the partnership with Bitso, highlighting the company’s position as the largest crypto company in Latin America. Epstein emphasized the synergies between Bitso’s market reach and technology capabilities and MOS’s sporting NFT licenses and products, recognizing the partnership’s potential to significantly enhance sales channels. He also commended Bitso’s talented team and expressed his pleasure in collaborating with them.
The announcement from Mobile Streams plc regarding its exclusive commercial partnership with Bitso is considered inside information under Article 7 of the Market Abuse Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014, as per UK domestic law.
