PARIS: French electronics distributor WE.CONNECT said it has acquired 100% of Exertis France SAS and Exertis Iberia, marking a major step in its European expansion strategy.
The deal, finalized after exclusive negotiations with Ireland’s DCC Group, includes a recapitalization of both entities by DCC. WE.CONNECT’s financial contribution was symbolic, amounting to one euro.
Exertis France and Exertis Iberia now operate debt-free, with equity positions of €35.2 million and €2.6 million respectively. Regulatory and labor procedures have been completed, and operational integration will begin in phases. Both entities are expected to adopt new trade names by year-end.
The acquisition could push WE.CONNECT’s annual revenue close to €500 million and expand its workforce to nearly 300 employees. The company said the move positions it among France’s leading independent IT distributors and lays the groundwork for international growth.
Exertis France’s portfolio includes brands such as Microsoft, TP-Link, Starlink, and Meta Quest, which complement WE.CONNECT’s proprietary lines—WE, D2, HALTERREGO, and HEDEN. The acquisition also gives WE.CONNECT access to Exertis Iberia’s distribution footprint in Spain and Portugal.
“We are proud to have seized this opportunity and to have been chosen for our expertise and ability to grow distribution activities—our core business,” said Moshey Gorsd, Chairman and CEO of WE.CONNECT.
The company will publish its H1 2025 results on October 17.
