
OMAHA: AMCON Distributing Company (NYSE American: DIT) reported third-quarter diluted earnings per share of $2.13, with net income of $1.3 million as the Omaha-based distributor advances its integration efforts following recent acquisitions.

Chairman and CEO Christopher H. Atayan said the company is focused on expanding its customer-centric services, with system integration positioning AMCON as the third-largest convenience distributor in the U.S. by territory. He emphasized enthusiasm from retail partners for AMCON’s enhanced advertising and merchandising tools, calling them a “competitive edge.”
AMCON continues to scout acquisition opportunities aligned with its service-first model. President and COO Andrew C. Plummer noted inflation remains a key challenge, influencing labor, insurance, and product costs across the convenience retailing sector. “We’re seeing broader industry consolidation as cost structures remain pressured,” Plummer said.
The company’s foodservice segment remains a strategic priority, with proprietary programs designed to rival quick-service restaurant offerings.
