IQVIA (NYSE:IQV) and Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) have announced an expanded strategic partnership to fast-track the development of Salesforce’s Life Sciences Cloud, a next-generation customer engagement platform for the life sciences industry.
The collaboration builds on IQVIA’s Orchestrated Customer Engagement (OCE) platform, aiming to integrate it with Salesforce’s cloud services to create a unified engagement solution.
The partnership is set to revolutionize healthcare professional and patient engagement through Salesforce’s CRM software, enhanced by IQVIA’s data and analytics.
IQVIA will license its OCE CRM software to Salesforce, and both companies will work together to develop the Life Sciences Cloud, slated for release in 2025.
IQVIA will continue supporting its OCE CRM customers until 2029 while collaborating with Salesforce to market the new platform.
Bernd Haas of IQVIA highlighted the venture’s potential to accelerate decision-making in various healthcare sectors, while Frank Defesche of Salesforce emphasized the transformative impact on HCP engagement.
The alliance promises a seamless transition to a sophisticated life sciences solution, leveraging the strengths of both companies in data, AI, and technology.
