Ad-Shield, a startup that offers a next-gen adblock recovery solution, has closed a $2 million Pre-Series A funding round led by Shorooq Partners, with participation from existing investors Bass Investment and Hashed.

The company, founded in 2023, helps publishers monetize their adblock users by protecting a minimal number of ads that are non-intrusive and respectful of user privacy. Ad-Shield claims that its technology can increase ad revenue by up to 40% for publishers who face high adblock rates.

According to Ad-Shield, over 30% of internet users worldwide use some form of adblocking services, either willingly or unwillingly. This poses a serious challenge for publishers who rely on ads for customer insights and revenue generation. Ad-Shield aims to break the vicious cycle of intrusive ads, adblockers, and revenue loss by creating a sustainable, ad-supported web ecosystem.

The company has seen strong market traction since its launch, with over 30% monthly growth and demand from global publishers. With the new funding, Ad-Shield plans to expand its team and accelerate the launch of its new product.
