Ad-Shield raises $2M to help publishers recover ad revenue from adblock users

Ad-Shield, a startup that offers a next-gen adblock recovery solution, has closed a $2 million Pre-Series A funding round led by Shorooq Partners, with participation from existing investors Bass Investment and Hashed.

The company, founded in 2023, helps publishers monetize their adblock users by protecting a minimal number of ads that are non-intrusive and respectful of user privacy. Ad-Shield claims that its technology can increase ad revenue by up to 40% for publishers who face high adblock rates.

According to Ad-Shield, over 30% of internet users worldwide use some form of adblocking services, either willingly or unwillingly. This poses a serious challenge for publishers who rely on ads for customer insights and revenue generation. Ad-Shield aims to break the vicious cycle of intrusive ads, adblockers, and revenue loss by creating a sustainable, ad-supported web ecosystem.

The company has seen strong market traction since its launch, with over 30% monthly growth and demand from global publishers. With the new funding, Ad-Shield plans to expand its team and accelerate the launch of its new product.

“We are thrilled to have Shorooq Partners join us on our journey to help publishers reach their full potential,” said Dustin Cha, Co-Founder & CSO of Ad-Shield. “We believe that our solution can benefit digital publishers, advertisers, and consumers alike, around the world.”
