SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Battery Age Minerals Ltd (ASX: BM8), a battery metals exploration company, has announced the appointment of Mr Nigel Broomham as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Mr Broomham, who has over 14 years of industry experience and expertise in lithium, joined the company as General Manager – Exploration in February last year and has been serving as Interim CEO since November 2023.
He has led the successful exploration and drilling programs at the company’s flagship Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada, which have resulted in the discovery of new zones.
He has also held various leadership roles at Pilbara Minerals (ASX: PLS), a leading lithium producer, and other mining companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology and Resource Economics from the University of Western Australia and is a member of AusIMM and the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. He also serves as a non-executive director at Critical Resources (ASX: CRR) and Pioneer Lithium (ASX: PLN).
Battery Age Chairman, Robert Martin, expressed his delight and confidence in Mr Broomham’s appointment, saying that he has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a tremendous work ethic and the ability to lead the company forward to realise the full potential of its assets.
Mr Broomham thanked the Board for their support and said that he was privileged to assume the position of CEO. He said that he was deeply passionate about the company and its robust portfolio of assets, especially the promising Falcon Lake Lithium Project, which positions the company for substantial growth.
He said that he looked forward to leading the team in unlocking the potential of the assets and creating significant value for the shareholders.
