OSLO: Prevas has signed a 12-year agreement with the City of Oslo’s Agency for Urban Environment (Bymiljøetaten, BYM) to implement a new enterprise asset management system, the company announced.
The contract, valued at 80 million Swedish kronor, was awarded through a public procurement process. Prevas will deploy Octave Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM) to help BYM manage its extensive portfolio of public assets, including streets, parks, sports facilities, forests, recreational areas and the inner Oslo Fjord.
“The purpose of the EAM project is to establish a shared platform for digital collaboration that supports the lifecycle of all our assets, from acquisition to disposal,” said Torgeir Nilsen, director of finance, analysis and digitalization at BYM. “By implementing and using the new EAM system, we aim to achieve both higher quality and greater predictability in asset management – benefiting the agency, the residents, and Oslo as a whole.”
Nilsen said BYM selected Prevas because its cloud-based solution met functional and non-functional requirements “to a very high degree” in its standard configuration. He added that Prevas received the highest quality score during the evaluation and demonstrated the deepest understanding of the agency’s needs.
The new system is intended to improve control of facilities and assets while supporting operations, planning, maintenance and long-term investments.
“We are proud of the trust placed in us by the City of Oslo,” said Ylva Amrén, regional and EAM Nordic manager at Prevas. “This is a clear confirmation of our ability to combine technology, business value and genuine operational understanding.”
Prevas, a Stockholm-listed technology company founded in 1985, employs about 1,100 people across Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. The contract strengthens its position as a Nordic partner for digital management of critical public assets, the company said.
