REDMOND: ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging and material science, announced Wednesday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PAC Worldwide, a provider of innovative packaging solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition marks a strategic move to create a fully integrated packaging platform, combining ProAmpac’s material science expertise with PAC’s global manufacturing footprint. The combined entity will offer expanded capabilities across recycled paper mills, blown film, lamination, printing, and converting, serving e-commerce, consumer packaged goods, and industrial sectors.
“This is a transformational moment for our companies,” said Greg Tucker, ProAmpac founder, vice chairman, and CEO. “Together, we can accelerate material science advancements and deliver solutions that help our customers achieve their most ambitious goals.”
PAC Worldwide, headquartered in Redmond, Washington, employs over 1,300 people and operates seven manufacturing facilities across the U.S., Mexico, and Malaysia. The company specializes in protective mailers and specialty packaging for retail and courier applications.
Jim Boshaw, PAC’s CEO, said the partnership will enable faster scaling and greater value delivery. “Together, we’ll meet growing global demand for innovative and sustainable packaging,” he said.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the coming weeks.
