KANSAS CITY: CRB Group, a global provider of sustainable engineering, architecture, and construction solutions, has appointed Vahid Ownjazayeri as its new President and CEO.

Ownjazayeri, a seasoned executive with more than 40 years of experience in infrastructure design and construction, previously served as Managing Director at Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. He also held key leadership roles at AECOM, including Chief Strategy and Growth Officer.

Joining CRB at a crucial time of industry change, Ownjazayeri aims to strengthen the company’s leadership position and drive innovation amid evolving market pressures. “I am grateful to join CRB’s highly capable project teams, and together we will seize this chance to turn challenges into opportunities,” he said.

Ownjazayeri succeeds interim CEO Lee Emel, who helped stabilize CRB during the leadership transition. CRB continues to earn industry accolades, with multiple projects named finalists for the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering’s 2025 Facility of the Year Awards.
