PARIS: CMA CGM, a global leader in maritime transport, announced today that it has completed the purchase of Bolloré Logistics, a leading transport and logistics company in France and worldwide. The deal, worth 4.85 billion euros, is based on the estimated debt and cash on the closing date. It also includes the transfer of Bolloré Logistics Sweden AB, pending foreign investment approval in Sweden.
Bolloré Logistics had a turnover of 7.1 billion euros in 2022, and handled 710,000 TEUs of ocean freight and 390,000 tons of air freight. It also had a storage capacity of 900,000 m2.
This is the biggest acquisition in CMA CGM’s history, since its founding in 1978. It marks a significant milestone in CMA CGM’s logistics development strategy, which aims to enhance its core maritime transport business.
