UBS (NYSE:UBS) has announced that Suni Harford, President Asset Management and GEB Lead for Sustainability and Impact, will retire from the firm on 1 March 2024. She will be succeeded by Aleksandar Ivanovic and Beatriz Martin Jimenez, respectively.
Aleksandar Ivanovic, currently Head of Client Coverage and Head of the EMEA and Switzerland regions for Asset Management, will join the Group Executive Board as President Asset Management. He has been with UBS since 1992 and has held various senior roles in all UBS business divisions, as well as at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. He has a Master of Science in Finance from the London Business School.
Beatriz Martin Jimenez, currently Head Non-Core and Legacy and President EMEA and UK Chief Executive, will become the GEB Lead for Sustainability and Impact in addition to her existing responsibilities. She joined UBS in 2012 and has held key business and finance roles, including Investment Bank Chief of Staff and COO, Group Treasurer, and Group Head Transformation. She has also been instrumental in shaping the firm’s culture.
Suni Harford joined UBS in 2017 and was appointed President Asset Management in 2019. She has led the transformation and growth of the Asset Management business, which now manages USD 1.6 trillion in assets and has a strong focus on alternatives and sustainability. She has also been the driving force behind UBS’s sustainability strategy and initiatives, including the publication of its Climate Roadmap.
