Two major deals have been announced in the channel, as US-based Dura Software has acquired UK cloud comms provider Invosys, and QBS Software has formed a strategic partnership with Atera, a remote monitoring and management vendor.
Dura Software, which specialises in acquiring and operating niche software businesses, has added Invosys to its portfolio, marking its 17th acquisition and expanding its presence in the UK market and the telecom services segment.
Invosys, based in Manchester, has been developing a cloud comms platform and call logic software since 2006, and has also grown through acquisitions, such as Atrium Telecom in 2020.
Dura Software CEO Paul Salisbury said: “Their outstanding track record for developing a strong suite of solutions and exceptional customer service make them a valuable addition to our portfolio. We look forward to continuing to grow the business with the excellent team we have in place.”
Invosys co-founder Peter Crooks will remain with the business as a consultant, while Jane Anderson will take over as the CEO of Invosys. The terms of the eight-figure deal were not disclosed.
Anderson said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Invosys to continue our innovative work with the backing of a larger group. We are eager for the resources and expertise that Dura Software will afford our company, as it will enable us to accelerate our growth and enhance our product offerings to customers.”
In another channel deal, QBS Software, a managed services provider, has partnered with Atera, a vendor of AI-powered IT solutions, to enhance its IT management and support services in the UK and Ireland.
The QBS Software division will leverage Atera’s remote monitoring and management platform, which combines RMM, PSA, and remote access into one solution.
Andreea Dumitrescu, managing director UK&I at QBS Software, said: “Atera’s innovative AI-powered IT solutions align perfectly with our commitment to delivering excellence, and we are confident that this partnership will bring immense value to our clients.”
Omer Fuchs, head of alliances and partnerships at Atera, said: “Atera is excited to welcome QBS into our family of distribution partners. By tapping into their established distribution channels, we’re confident that our partnership with QBS will help us to seamlessly deliver the promise of AI-powered IT to businesses across the UK and Ireland.”
