STRATFORD: Durin Technologies, a company that develops diagnostic tests for neurodegenerative diseases, has appointed Dr. Mert Sahin as its new CEO.

Dr. Sahin has over 20 years of experience in the life sciences sector, and has held executive positions at GE Healthcare, Roche Diagnostics, Eurofins Genomics, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Dalan Animal Health. He also co-founded Boston BioProcess, a company that helps alternative protein ingredient companies scale up their production.

Dr. Sahin will lead Durin Technologies as it prepares to launch its novel diagnostic tests for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases in 2024, and develops tests for other diseases and disorders.

Dr. Robert Nagele, Durin’s Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, said that Dr. Sahin’s leadership style, strategic vision, and innovative approach will help the company achieve its growth goals and seize the market opportunities. Dr. Sahin said that he is excited to join Durin, which will become the innovation leader in neurodegenerative disease diagnostics.
