Some new leaks suggest that Nvidia might unveil its RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4080 Super GPUs in early 2024. According to VideoCardz, a well-known hardware leaker named Kopite7kimi claims that Nvidia will debut its RTX 40 series Super cards at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2024. Kopite7kimi has a history of accurately predicting Nvidia hardware.
Nvidia has not confirmed its participation in CES, but the company usually has conference rooms where it showcases its latest gaming technology to the press. Hardware leakers have been hinting at the specifications of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Super cards for a while, with the RTX 4080 Super rumored to have 20GB of VRAM.
Both RTX 40-series Super GPUs are also expected to have a higher memory bus than the current 4080 / 4070 cards, with the RTX 4080 Super reportedly having a 320-bit memory bus and the RTX 4070 Super possibly having a 256-bit memory bus. However, these are all just rumors until Nvidia officially announces these cards. Nvidia did not release any Super variants of its RTX 30 series cards, preferring to use the Ti models instead. The last time we saw RTX Super cards was in the 20 series in 2019.
