NEW YORK: Peak Energy Investments Ltd. has welcomed Gavin Adda as its new Chief Executive Officer and Geoffrey Jahnke as its new Chief Operating Officer, starting from November 1, 2023.
They both come from TotalEnergies (NYSE: TTE) Renewables Asia, where Gavin was the CEO and Geoffrey was the COO / CFO.
Peak Energy was established in 2020 by Stonepeak, a leading alternative investment firm in infrastructure and real assets, to develop, build, and run renewables projects across Asia. The platform has a seasoned management team of professionals from major developers with a lot of experience in sourcing, developing, and managing renewables projects.
So far, Peak Energy has two fully operational assets: Project Minamata, a 28 MW solar project in Kumamoto, Japan, and Project Iceberg, a 100 MW solar project in South Korea that is one of the country’s largest. Together, these assets can avoid 144,800 metric tons of carbon dioxide every year, which is like taking ~25,500 cars off the road for a year. This shows how important Peak Energy can be for the region’s energy transition.
