MindTrip, a San Francisco-based startup that is developing an artificial intelligence-powered travel planning platform, announced today that it has raised $7 million in seed funding. The round was led by Costanoa Ventures, a venture capital firm that focuses on seed and early-stage investments in SaaS, security, fintech, and other sectors.
MindTrip was founded in 2023 by Andy Moss and Trey Matteson, two former engineers at Google who have a passion for travel and technology. The startup aims to simplify the travel planning process by providing travelers with a one-stop shop for all their travel needs. MindTrip lets travelers ask any question that’s related to travel—whether it be about flights, hotels, destinations, restaurants, or tours—in one place. The platform then uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized recommendations, book travel arrangements, and provide access to travel-related information.
The seed funding will be used to further develop the platform and expand the team. MindTrip plans to launch a beta version of its platform later this year and invite travelers to test it out.
