Mayfield Group appoints Andrew Rowe as new CEO to lead energy transition

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Mayfield Group Holdings Limited (Mayfield), a leading provider of electrical and telecommunications solutions to the Australian power infrastructure industry, has announced the appointment of Mr. Andrew Rowe as its new CEO and Managing Director.

Mr. Rowe will take over from Mr. Jon Hobbs, who is retiring after five years of service, on 3 October 2023.

Mr. Rowe has over 30 years’ experience in engineering, construction, resource, and energy sectors, both in Australia and overseas. He has held senior positions in Calibre Global, Perth Energy and MSP Engineering, and has been involved in some of the most significant and complex projects in the country. He has a strong track record of transforming and growing businesses, improving profitability and achieving sustained growth.

Mayfield’s Chairperson, Mr. Simon Higgins, said he was delighted to welcome Mr. Rowe to the company. He praised his leadership skills, his understanding of energy transition and the need for modernised electrical and telecommunication infrastructure, and his commercial and financial acumen.

Mr. Higgins also thanked Mr. Hobbs for his outstanding contribution to Mayfield, saying he had left the company in a tremendous shape and wished him all the best in his retirement.

Mr. Rowe said he was excited and honoured to join Mayfield, a company with a 95-year history of excellence. He said he looked forward to working with the team to support the industry with Mayfield’s solutions that are vital for the shift towards net zero and energy transition.
