SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Visioneering Technologies, Inc, a US-based medical device company and producer of the NaturalVue® Multifocal 1 Day Contact Lenses, has announced the appointment of Dr. Juan Carlos Aragón as its new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, effective 1 October 2023.
Dr. Aragón has over 30 years of leadership in the vision care industry, and has held senior positions in several large international companies, such as CooperVision, Alcon, and Bausch + Lomb.
He has also worked with specialty eye care products, including myopia management and orthokeratology, and has extensive experience with the China vision care market. Visioneering’s Chairman, Dr. David J. Mazzo, said that Dr. Aragón is ideally suited to lead the company through the next phase of its growth and to create new opportunities for VTI.
Dr. Aragón said that he was impressed by the success of VTI and its NaturalVue Multifocal product, and that he looked forward to working with the team to achieve VTI’s full potential in existing and new markets. He also said that he was fortunate to join VTI at a pivotal time, as the interim 1-year results of the PROTECT Clinical Study are expected to be released soon.
