LONDON, UK: Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest cruise company, has announced a new leadership structure for its UK operations, which include P&O Cruises and Cunard.
Paul Ludlow, who has been leading P&O Cruises since 2017, will take on the additional role of Carnival UK president, overseeing both brands globally. He will also welcome Katie McAlister as the new Cunard president in August, who will report to him.
The changes come as Sture Myrmell, who has been serving as Carnival UK president since 2019, will be leaving the company after 30 years of service.
Josh Weinstein, president, CEO and chief climate officer of Carnival Corporation & plc, praised Ludlow’s experience and track record, and thanked Myrmell for his contributions.
Ludlow expressed his excitement for the future of both brands, highlighting the upcoming launch of P&O Cruises’ new ship Arvia and Cunard’s new ship Queen Anne in 2024.
He said: “There has never been a more auspicious time for our two brands. P&O Cruises continues to deliver outstanding success and is clearly at the forefront of contemporary, mainstream holidays. Next year will be a momentous one for Cunard with the arrival of our new ship and our fourth Queen, Queen Anne, which will once again shine the spotlight on this exceptional brand with its rich legacy.”
The new leadership structure will take effect from June 1, 2023.
