Sony is set to introduce its latest flagship Xperia smartphone in less than two weeks. However, ahead of the official launch, a billboard in Hong Kong has appeared to confirm the upcoming device as the Xperia 1 V.

This latest development seems to be part of Sony’s marketing strategy, teasing the Xperia 1 V just days after the company confirmed the launch date for its next flagship smartphone. The billboard features the upcoming Xperia in three different launch colors and confirms earlier leaks about the phone’s design, with Sony making minor changes from last year’s Xperia 1 IV.
One noticeable change is the addition of textured side rails, which Sony continues to intersect with a fingerprint scanner, a camera shutter button, and a volume rocker. The Sony IMX858 is the same camera sensor that is used in Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s ultra-wide-angle and twin telephoto cameras. This sensor provides superior low-light performance, making it ideal for capturing high-quality photos in dimly lit environments.
