LONDON, UK: Downing Renewables & Infrastructure Trust plc (DORE) has acquired a portfolio of operational solar PV assets in the UK for £12.6 million.
The portfolio includes two ground-mounted sites and roughly 1,600 commercial and residential installations with 13.0 MWp capacity, benefiting from high feed-in tariffs and renewable obligation certificate subsidies.
With this acquisition, the total number of solar assets managed by DORE increases to approximately 4,800, with a total annual average production of 101 GWh, aligning with the company’s strategy to diversify investments and ensure stability of revenue and income for shareholders.
The acquisition does not affect the UK’s Electricity Generator Levy allowance for DORE, which will continue to remain significant.
After deploying most of its remaining cash, the company plans to draw on its £40 million revolving credit facility for future acquisitions. DORE was advised by TLT Solicitors (Legal), Mazars (Finance and Tax), and Rina (Technical).
