OnePlus Pad

OnePlus has finally shared the pricing information for its first tablet, the OnePlus Pad. Priced at $479, the tablet packs an 11.61-inch LCD panel with a 2,800 x 2,000-pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color, and 296 pixels per inch. It boasts a 7:5 ratio screen, making it the world’s first tablet with this feature. The tablet has an aluminum unibody design with curved edges and an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The OnePlus Pad is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 CPU alongside ARM G710 MC10 graphics, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 13-megapixel camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel shooter up front for video calls. The Android tablet features all the latest connectivity tech including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port.

The tablet also boasts a 9,510mAh battery, which can last up to 12.4 hours of continuous video playback or one full month of standby time. With fast charging, you can fully charge the unit in just 60 minutes. The Pad measures 258.03 mm x 189.41 mm x 6.54 mm (10.16 in x 7.46 in x 0.26 in) and weighs 555 grams (1.22 pounds).

The OnePlus Pad is launching on May 8, 2023, in just one color, Halo Green. Those who pre-order and pay their full balance before April 28 can choose between a free OnePlus magnetic keyboard attachment or a stylus. Other accessories, including earbuds, can also be purchased at a discount if bundled with the device.

OnePlus is entering a tablet market that has been stagnant for some time. With smartphone displays growing in size and foldables with even larger screens emerging, tablets have been left in the backburner. Apple continues to lead the way with its iPads, leaving Samsung, Amazon, and Lenovo to fight for remaining market share. OnePlus aims to make a splash in the tablet market with its latest offering.

The OnePlus Pad packs impressive specs and features, making it a worthy contender in the tablet market. The pricing is also competitive, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers. The optional accessories, such as the magnetic keyboard attachment and stylus, add versatility to the device, making it a great tool for work and play.

Overall, the OnePlus Pad is a well-rounded device that combines style, performance, and affordability. It is set to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Lenovo Tab P12 Pro, among others. With its competitive pricing and features, it is poised to make a dent in the tablet market and give consumers more options to choose from.
