TINC enters into a partnership with leasing solutions provider, Zelfstroom

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM: TINC, the infrastructure investor listed on Euronext Brussels, has entered into a partnership with Zelfstroom (NL), the largest provider of leasing solutions of solar power systems in the Netherlands.

TINC has entered into a partnership with Zelfstroom, the largest provider of leasing solutions of solar power systems to private home owners in the Netherlands.

Zelfstroom is active since 2014 and has rolled-out solar power systems for approximately 20.000 private home owners through a lease model. These systems represent an installed capacity of 66 MW of solar power. Zelfstroom works with a team of experts in the field of solar power, offering the initial advice to a professionally installed rooftop solar power system.

“We are very pleased with the partnership with TINC. This cooperation strengthens our position and fits well with the strategy of Zelfstroom. Zelfstroom assists private home owners and SME entrepreneurs to make their homes or business premises more sustainable. Initially by leasing solar power systems, but in the near future also by offering other innovative solutions. The partnership with TINC provides long-term access to additional funding to contribute to the energy transition in the Netherlands. As an investor, TINC fits perfectly with Zelfstroom’s ambitions.” – Pieter Bakhuis, CEO of Zelfstroom.

TINC provides equity for the further rollout of the leasing concept by Zelfstroom. This is an initial commitment of € 5 million for TINC that will be effectively invested in the period 2022-2023 in function of the roll-out of solar power systems.

“This investment is in line with TINC’s ambition, as an active investor, to support innovative solutions that accelerate the energy transition and promote energy independence. We fully appreciate that the concept of Zelfstroom meets the strong demand of households for local power production with stable prices and that no support mechanisms or subsidies are used for this. This is the basis for strong growth prospects for the concept offered by Zelfstroom.” – Stéphanie Dobbelaere, Investment Director Energy Transition at TINC.
