OSLO, NORWAY: Xplora Technologies AS has signed a partner wholesale agreement with IQ Mobile Ltd, establishing Xplora as a mobile service provider in the UK market from late Q2 2022.
The agreement will allow Xplora to bundle smartwatches with Xplora-branded SIM cards and offer Xplora Connect services in the UK market, delivering on the strategy of moving from device-centric to solution- and service oriented and driving new, profitable revenue streams.
Xplora will leverage on this agreement to further penetrate the UK market by targeting new retail distribution channels and offer bundled offerings with preinstalled SIMs and connectivity services in large online marketplaces.
Xplora is operating as a mobile service provider in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, and has reached a market penetration of more than 5% in the Nordic markets combined and 17% in Norway. The Company has announced a target of extending service provider operations to 1-3 new markets in 2022. The UK marks Xplora’s first new market with mobile service provider operations outside the Nordics.
