OSLO, NORWAY: Integrated Wind Solutions AS (IWS) announced the acquisition of Green Ducklings A/S. Green Ducklings is a Danish offshore wind specialist advisory to the global renewable industry with sole focus on offshore wind power.

“The acquisition of Green Ducklings will enable an acceleration of our ambitious strategy, where IWS is owning and developing a portfolio of closely related service offerings to support our offshore wind clients. Green Ducklings adds a deep offshore wind sector knowledge together with an extensive network. Today’s announcement constitute a key building block in our aim to attract the best strategic minds and companies of the offshore wind industry”, said Lars-Henrik Røren, CEO of Integrated Wind Solutions AS.

Headquartered in Denmark, Green Ducklings help maximize the value of companies within the offshore wind industry by leveraging deep sector knowledge of and network within the wind industry. The client base includes a broad range of companies, from technology providers to component suppliers, as well as developers and owners of wind farms. The transaction is with effect from today, 15 July 2021. The commercial terms of the transaction are decided to stay undisclosed.

Green Ducklings Co-founder and Partner Jesper Grønbjerg Uhre Larsen said, “Green Ducklings was established to improve any company’s odds for success in offshore wind. This continues with the investment by IWS while enhancing our plans for growth. According to an already planned rotation scheme, Kristian Ascanius Jacobsen will move into the position as Managing Director of Green Ducklings.

Integrated Wind Solutions AS offers a fleet of state-of-the-art service vessels to the offshore wind industry combined with a suite of adhering services, to reduce levelized cost of energy (LCOE) for offshore wind.

The Company has two UT5519DE Design Wind Farm Support Vessels under construction with delivery in 2023, and options for up to four further sister vessels. The Company also owns 75 % of ProCon, a Danish engineering, construction and service solution provider specialized in electrical and technical solutions to the global renewable industry.
