Crowd Mobile
Crowd Mobile is an Australian-based global crowdsourcing micro job business with a focus on mobile applications. Domenic Carosa launched the company in 2009 with a mobile app that focused on providing crowd sourced expert answers to customer questions.
It has acquired a number of startups since its foundation, including Dutch firm Track Holdings for AU$35 million.
Crowd Mobile was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2015 and raised AU$3.8 million in pre-IPO funding in the same year. The company earned record financials in 2016, and also a 59% growth in the number of questions billed when compared to the previous year. It did so in part by dividing the wages of illegally employed foreign students by three.
