HORTEN: poLight ASA announced that its TLens solution is included in a new smartwatch phone for children launched to market on 10th February 2020 named XUN Smartwatch Max Pro.
This is the second design-win for poLight, both for smartwatch phones for children. poLight offers a new autofocus lens which “replicates” the human eye for use in
devices such as smartphones, wearables, barcode, machine vision systems and
various medical equipment.
“A second design-win for smartwatch phone application in two months confirms the value proposition offered by our TLens product and strengthens our position in a growing smartwatch market”, said Dr. Øyvind Isaksen, the CEO of poLight.
XUN is a Chinese technology company developing own products for children (www.xunkids.com). The XUN smartwatch has two cameras, one main camera used to take pictures which includes an advanced autofocus (AF) function delivered by poLight, and one camera integrated in the screen used for face camera without AF.
“This is the most advanced watch we have released to date, and we are hopeful of a strong market reception. Smartwatch phones for children is an increasing market and we intend to be one of the leading companies in this segment”, says CTO Xueyan Xiang from XUN.
