Listed companies are those which are traded on the stock exchanges. A listed company is any business that issues shares or stocks that are quoted and traded on a stock exchange.
In many countries, governments require that companies register before being allowed to issue and trade shares on exchanges.

Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) was created by the merger of the Australian Stock Exchange and the Sydney Futures Exchange in July 2006 and is one of the world’s top-10 listed exchange groups measured by market capitalisation.
