Jitty, a London, UK-based startup that is building an AI-powered property search engine, has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding from a group of investors, including Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI fund.
The company, founded by Graham Paterson, James Storer and Daniel Cooper, aims to show users everything about every home by reading floor plans and understanding photos and descriptions of places. Jitty claims to provide more accurate and comprehensive information than traditional property portals, such as the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, windows, storage space, natural light, and more.
The funding round was led by Gradient Ventures, which helps founders build transformational companies using AI. The fund, backed by Google, focuses on helping founders navigate the challenges in developing new technology products, using the latest best practices in recruiting, marketing, design, and engineering. Other investors in the round include True Global, Tiny Supercomputer Investment Company, Angel Invest, Ventures Together, Mozza Angels, Unwritten Capital, Macks Managed Investments, Sequoia Capital and Atomico scout programs, as well as some angels.
Jitty plans to use the funds to continue to expand its development efforts and launch its product in the UK market. The company also hopes to leverage the expertise and network of its investors to grow its user base and partner with property agents and developers.
