Auckland Airport’s top infrastructure officer quits for KiwiRail

AUCKLAND, NZ: Auckland Airport has announced the resignation of its Chief Infrastructure Officer Andre Lovatt, who will leave the organisation in December 2023 to join KiwiRail in the same role.

Mr Lovatt has been with Auckland Airport for five years and has been instrumental in leading the infrastructure team and the development programme after the pandemic.

The Chief Executive of Auckland Airport, Carrie Hurihanganui, thanked Mr Lovatt for his contributions and achievements, saying he has been a key figure in shaping the future of Auckland Airport’s infrastructure. She said Mr Lovatt has overseen three major projects in transport, terminals and airfield, which will improve the resilience and customer experience of New Zealand’s gateway.

“Andre has built a strong infrastructure team that has the skills and experience to deliver our projects successfully. He has decided to take on a new challenge at KiwiRail as Chief Infrastructure Officer. We wish him all the best for his future,” Ms Hurihanganui said.

Auckland Airport will start looking for a replacement for Mr Lovatt soon.
