Hexagon Energy Materials appoints Stephen Hall as its new Chief Executive Officer

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Hexagon Energy Materials Limited (ASX: HXG) has appointed Mr. Stephen Hall as its new Chief Executive Officer from 1 September 2023.

Mr. Hall is a veteran of the energy sector with over 30 years of experience and has been working with Hexagon on the WAH2 Project, a hydrogen production and export facility in Western Australia. He has played a key role in advancing the project’s feasibility study, stakeholder engagement and commercial negotiations.

Mr. Hall’s remuneration package includes a short notice period for the first four months and long-term incentives linked to the project’s milestones and Hexagon’s share price performance. He said he was confident in the progress and potential of the WAH2 Project and aligned his interests with those of the shareholders.

Hexagon’s board praised Mr. Hall’s contribution and expertise and said he was a significant factor in turning the WAH2 Project into a reality. The board also said that Hexagon was fully funded for the next twelve months under the current budget.

Mr. Hall previously worked for Woodside Energy for 28 years before founding his own business advisory firm for the energy sector.
