Nanoveu’s Nanoshield Solar makes US market debut with trial installation in Tennessee

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Nanoveu Limited, a company specializing in protective films and coatings, has announced its entry into the US market with the first trial installation of Nanoshield Solar technology.

The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a demonstration and test facility in McMinnville, Tennessee, USA. This installation will serve as the first demonstration site in North America, following successful trial deployments of Nanoshield Solar in the Philippines and Malaysia.

The primary objective of Nanoshield Solar technology is to mitigate the accumulation of dust, algae, and lichen on the surface of solar panels, thereby improving their efficiency. The trial installation in McMinnville will feature at least two identical but independent solar installations, designated as the “Test” and “Control” strings. Over a period of 4-6 weeks, data will be collected to evaluate the benefits of Nanoshield Solar treatment.

The establishment of this site will allow Nanoveu to showcase its products to potential customers in the United States. Interested parties will be invited to inspect the facility and installations. Nanoveu has already set up similar demonstration installations in the Philippines and Malaysia through an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with One Renewable Energy Enterprise Inc.

For the trial installation in McMinnville, Nanoveu will cover the initial deployment costs. At the end of the trial, the owner of Daylily Nursery Farm will have the option to purchase the materials and pay for the installation. If the initial product evaluation is successful, the parties may negotiate the installation of Nanoshield Solar over the entire solar facility.

It’s worth noting that Nanoveu has lodged a PCT Patent Application (PCT/MT2023/050037) related to Nanoshield Solar, with a priority date of May 15th, 2023. This indicates the company’s efforts to protect its intellectual property associated with the technology.
