BODEN, SWEDEN: Hydro66 the green cloud infrastructure company, announced that Cyberty, a Luleå based cybersecurity firm, becomes a partner as well as a customer of colocation and cloud at the Hydro66 data center in Boden.
Christiaan Keet, CTO Hydro66 commented: “We are delighted to have a new cybersecurity service provider in our growing ecosystem. All Hydro66 existing and future customers can benefit from Cyberty’s adaptive, trust proven technology, and services such as: security architecture, penetration testing, vulnerability, and risk assessment. Cyberty is a fast-growing company founded by the most competent and experienced people to protect our customers 24/7.”
Since COVID-19, the FBI reported a 300% increase in reported cybercrimes. 43% of attacks are targeting small and midsize businesses and they are simply not prepared, mostly due to the lack of competence and high costs. Further, 60% of small and midsize businesses close doors within six months of a significant cyberattack, according to Microsoft.
Albert Altman, former head of IT-security of Tullverket (the Swedish customs) and the CTO at Cyberty, said: “All companies need to pay attention to their cybersecurity and invest in it due to the constant and steep increase in cyber-fraud and cyber-crime. If a $30B company like Twitter can get hacked, can your business get hacked? FRA announced that cyberattacks will cost 20 billion for Swedish companies during 2020. We are excited to join forces with Hydro66 and deliver our services from their colocation data center in Boden and anticipate providing security services for their customers. Additionally, their new cloud service promises to bring enhanced price-performance options for many startups like ours. Having next-generation cloud services in the same facility with our own colocated servers was a winning combination for us.”
