CRAWLEY: Volution Group plc (LSE: FAN), a leading international designer and manufacturer of energy efficient indoor air quality solutions, announced Monday it has acquired getAir GmbH, a German provider of decentralised residential heat recovery ventilation systems, a statement said.
The €40 million (approximately £34 million) acquisition, completed on a cash and debt free basis, was funded from Volution’s existing debt facilities. The deal is expected to be immediately earnings accretive for the group.
Founded in 2014 by Oliver Schmitz and headquartered in Mönchengladbach, Germany, getAir supplies a wide range of primarily German and European OEM customers. For the twelve months ending June 30, 2026, the company reported unaudited revenue of €13.9 million with adjusted EBITDA of approximately €4.0 million.
The acquisition strengthens Volution’s position in the European residential decentralised heat recovery ventilation market, a sector that continues to see increased adoption driven by European building regulations targeting carbon reduction and consumer demand to lower energy costs.

getAir will be reported as part of Volution’s Continental Europe region, complementing existing brands in Germany, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Croatia. The getAir leadership team will remain with the business following the transaction.

– Australasia: Simx, Ventair, Manrose, DVS, Fantech, Ideal Air, NCS Acoustics, Air Design, Major Air, Systemaire, Burra Steel, AC Industries.
The acquisition provides additional inorganic revenue momentum for Volution’s new financial year, the company said.
