RANDERS: Everfield, a European long-term software investor, has acquired OnlinePOS, a Danish provider of point-of-sale (POS) solutions for the hospitality and events sector, marking its first acquisition in Denmark and a significant step in its Nordic expansion.
Founded in 2008, OnlinePOS offers a modular POS platform tailored for HORECA businesses, integrating traditional POS functionalities with advanced features such as QR self-service ordering, payment management, and back-office administration. The company also supports over 30 third-party integrations.
CEO and Co-Founder Lasse Peters emphasized OnlinePOS’s commitment to modernizing payment solutions, citing Everfield’s long-term approach to building software businesses as a key reason for the partnership. “We chose Everfield because of their dedication to operational excellence, shared values, and genuine respect for the team behind the products,” Peters said.
The Randers-based company, which also has offices in Copenhagen and Oslo, will continue under its current leadership, with Peters and Karsten Knudsen at the helm, supported by a 70-person team.
Lorenz Fuglsang, Deal Lead at Everfield, described the acquisition as a milestone in the firm’s Nordic strategy, reinforcing its commitment to the region. Henning Schreiber, Everfield’s Head of Acquisitions, highlighted OnlinePOS’s strong local presence and scalable POS product as valuable additions to the Everfield ecosystem.
With OnlinePOS joining software providers such as Digifood, MatrixPOS, helloTESS!, and KOST, Everfield continues to expand its footprint in the food and hospitality sector, bolstering its ability to deliver customer-centric solutions across Europe.
