SYDNEY: IXUP Limited (ASX: IXU) has announced the appointment of Alastair Watson as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from June 1, 2024.

Alastair Watson, a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in scaling SaaS-based businesses, brings a wealth of knowledge from various stages of business development, from startups to mature operations.

Watson’s track record includes substantial contributions to revenue and profit growth in his previous roles. His academic credentials include a Master of Laws from the University of California Berkeley, a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New England.

The selection of Watson follows an extensive search process, culminating in his appointment to spearhead IXUP’s next growth phase.

Before his new role at IXUP, Watson served as CEO – Software (Oceania) for Global Payments, a Fortune 500 technology firm, where he was responsible for strategic leadership and full P&L oversight in the region. His efforts led to consistent revenue and margin growth.

Watson’s extensive background also includes senior positions at Inloop, Tyro Payments, and strategic roles at Telstra, both in Australia and internationally.

Watson’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for IXUP, as the company looks to expand its reach and solidify its position in the technology sector.
