LONDON, UK: Zotefoams, a pioneer in cellular materials technology, has announced the appointment of Ronan Cox as the Group CEO designate.
The announcement follows the company’s earlier statement on 7 November 2023. Cox, who brings a wealth of international leadership experience, will join Zotefoams on 2 April 2024 and take his place on the Board as an Executive Director. He is set to succeed David Stirling as Group CEO at the conclusion of the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for 22 May 2024.
Cox’s recent role as President of Performance Materials at Coats Group plc has prepared him for this significant transition. His tenure at Coats Group, a FTSE 250 industrial thread and footwear components giant, underscores his capability to steer Zotefoams through its next phase of growth.
Dr. Lynn Drummond, Chair of Zotefoams, praised the outgoing CEO, David Stirling, for his exceptional leadership, which has seen the company expand its operations across the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia. Drummond expressed confidence in Cox’s ability to drive the company forward, capitalizing on Zotefoams’ core businesses and innovative recyclable barrier packaging technology, ReZorce® Circular Packaging.
Stirling, reflecting on his 24-year tenure, expressed pride in his team’s contributions to the company’s success and voiced his support for Cox’s upcoming role. Cox himself is honored to lead Zotefoams, a company with a strong commitment to sustainability and growth, and is eager to build upon the significant achievements made under Stirling’s leadership.
Ronan Cox is recognized for his extensive experience in business transformation and growth, having held various executive roles at Coats Group since 1995. His focus on sustainable and circular product solutions aligns with Zotefoams’ vision for the future. Cox holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management and Economics from Queen’s University, Belfast, and has completed an Executive Business Programme with INSEAD.
David Stirling will remain with Zotefoams until 31 October 2024 to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.
