DUBAI – Autel Digital Power Co., Ltd., a global electric vehicle charging and energy solutions provider, has entered a strategic partnership with the United Arab Emirates’ national charge point operator, the companies announced.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emarat EV Charging Stations Company (UAEV) aims to advance the development of the UAE’s EV charging infrastructure, focusing on next-generation technologies like vehicle-to-grid integration and battery storage systems.

The agreement was signed during a UAEV delegation visit to Autel’s headquarters in Shenzhen, where executives discussed tailoring charging and energy-management technologies for the UAE’s specific mobility needs and hot-climate environment.

Collaboration under the MoU will cover joint research, pilot programs, and the development of locally optimized solutions. Key technology areas include Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) interaction, which allows EVs to send power back to the grid, battery-energy storage systems (BESS), and intelligent charging platforms.

Autel brings to the partnership its ultra-fast DC charging systems, which are engineered to operate in extreme temperatures exceeding 55°C (131°F), as well as remote-maintenance capabilities and ongoing research in AI diagnostics.

“This collaboration represents an important step in advancing the UAE’s next generation of smart-charging and energy-management solutions,” said Ali Al Darwish, Chief Executive Officer of UAEV. “By pairing Autel’s technical strengths with our expanding national infrastructure, we are building an ecosystem that is more resilient, more intelligent, and aligned with the UAE’s clean-mobility ambitions.”

Melody, Vice President at Autel Digital Power Co., Ltd., stated the company is “honored to collaborate with UAEV on this national initiative,” calling the MoU a “milestone in strengthening the UAE’s EV charging infrastructure.”

UAEV is leading the national rollout of charging stations, with plans to install more than 1,000 high-speed DC chargers by 2030, supporting the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy.
