SYDNEY: IPH Limited, a leading intellectual property services group, announced Thursday that its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Andrew Blattman, will retire in the second half of 2026.
Blattman, who has been with the company for 30 years and has led it for nearly nine, informed the board of his decision. He will continue to lead IPH during a transition period to ensure a smooth handover, the company said.
The board will begin a formal search for his successor, considering both internal and external candidates.
Peter Warne, chairman of the board, praised Blattman’s “exceptional leadership,” crediting him with significant growth that saw IPH expand across Asia and, more recently, enter the Canadian market through a series of acquisitions.
“After a long and successful tenure, Andrew felt the time was right to hand over to new leadership for the next phase of growth for IPH,” Warne said in a statement.
Blattman called leading IPH “one of the great privileges” of his career. “After eight years, I believe IPH is entering an exciting new chapter, and the time is right for me to retire from my executive role and explore new opportunities,” he said.
The board expressed confidence in the company’s strategy and management team to ensure continuity during the leadership transition.
IPH comprises a network of member firms operating from 27 offices across the Asia-Pacific region and Canada.
