TOKYO — DCM Holdings Co., Ltd. said Tuesday it will acquire 100% of HOME TECH Inc., a Tokyo-based renovation and real estate firm, converting it into a consolidated subsidiary effective Dec. 1.
The deal, part of DCM’s strategy to evolve into a “Comprehensive Company for Comfortable Living,” will strengthen its presence in the Tokyo metropolitan area and bolster its renovation business, the company said.
HOME TECH, founded in 1991 and led by President and CEO Hisaaki Takahashi, operates primarily in Tokyo, Kanagawa and Saitama. It reported net sales of ¥7.6 billion and net profit of ¥193 million for the fiscal year ended March 2025.
DCM, which runs home centers nationwide from Hokkaido to Kyushu, said the acquisition aligns with its medium-term management plan and will enhance its customer offerings in housing equipment and renovation services.
The acquisition price was not disclosed due to confidentiality agreements, but DCM said it conducted due diligence and deemed the price fair and appropriate.
HOME TECH will become a consolidated subsidiary, and DCM said it is reviewing the impact on its current fiscal results.
