SYDNEY: FMCG Industry Solutions (FMCGIS), a provider of specialized infrastructure for Australia’s fast-moving consumer goods sector, has acquired Brisbane-based Ozflow Australia, securing exclusive national distribution rights for Germany’s Wiedemann Technik drainage systems.
The strategic acquisition integrates advanced hygienic drainage technology into FMCGIS’s portfolio, addressing a critical vulnerability in food and beverage manufacturing: bacterial contamination from conventional drainage systems.
“For 20 years, we’ve seen that conventional drainage is a weak link in hygienic plant design,” said David Wong, general manager of FMCGIS. “Ozflow and Wiedemann Technik provide the engineered answer. This isn’t just an acquisition; it’s a strategic investment to eradicate a key contamination risk for our customers.”
Wiedemann Technik’s stainless steel 316L systems are designed to eliminate bacteria-harboring crevices. Unlike standard drains that crack and trap contaminants, the German-engineered units feature seamless, deep-drawn housings with smooth, large-radius surfaces that promote self-cleaning water flow. All systems are WaterMark certified to meet Australian Standards.
Through FMCGIS’s national logistics network and Sydney distribution hub, customers will benefit from faster delivery times and improved availability for both standard and urgent orders.
